Like many Italian families my family always has a tradition of making Italian cookies during the holiday season. Everyone would get together for a weekend and just bake, bake, and bake some more. Unfortunately, over the years this tradition has become nonexistent. I was always too young to really learn how to bake any of the cookies myself but I have always wanted to learn and eventually bring the tradition back. Well today I made wandas for the first time. It was an all day project but I am so glad that I did it. It brought back a lot of memories of my Grandma and the holidays we spent together. I have posted a couple of pics of my finished product.
